I am a 33-year-old technical physician and assistant professor working in the intensive care. Mechanical ventilation and respiratory physiology are my main areas of expertise. I have a passion for clinical research involving new innovative technologies, and obtained my Ph.D. degree in 2021. I am co-leading the Rotterdam Advanced Respiratory Care (ROTARC) research group of the Erasmus MC (Netherlands).

In my free time, I enjoy graphic design and illustrating. Together with my domain knowledge, this provides me with excellent skills to improve scientific communication in healthcare. The exciting feedback I received stimulated me to start this portfolio - my work consists of eye-catching anatomical and (patho-)physiological concepts, explanatory clinical strategies, and clean visualisation of time-series data and graphs.
